The basic pistol course shows you how to safely and effectively own, maintain, and use a handgun. This course will prepare you through lecture, demonstrations, hands on range drills, and how to effectively handle a pistol in short-range situations.

Whether you are a new gun owner or have had some training elsewhere, this course takes you through a proven systematic step-by-step routine to develop rapid shooting skills and enable you to assuredly and safely use a pistol at the range and in everyday life.

In the Basic Pistol Class you will learn:

• How to choose the right handgun, ammunition, holster and safety equipment for you
• How your handgun works
• How to clean and store your weapon
• How to determine if your weapon is loaded, and to unload it
• How to safely load, reload, draw and holster your weapon
• Proper grip, stance, development of a good sight picture, and trigger control
• How to handle malfunctions
• How to perform tactical or emergency reloading

In this course you will be exposed to square range conditions.
